Ubuntu Linux installation Step by step:-
Step 1: Download VMware Workstation 17 Pro
Go to the VMware official website.
Download and install VMware Workstation 17 Pro for Windows.
Step 2: Download Ubuntu ISO
Visit the Ubuntu official website.
Download the latest version of the Ubuntu ISO file (e.g., Ubuntu 22.04 LTS).
Step 3: Launch VMware Workstation
Open VMware Workstation 17 Pro.
Click File New Virtual Machine or select “Create a New Virtual Machine” on the home screen.
Step 4: Configure New Virtual Machine
In the “New Virtual Machine Wizard,” choose Typical (recommended) and click Next.
Select Installer disc image file (ISO) and browse for the downloaded Ubuntu ISO file.
Click Next.
Step 5: Set Up Virtual Machine
Choose Linux as the Guest operating system and Ubuntu 64-bit from the dropdown list.
Click Next.
Step 6: Name and Specify Disk Location
Name your virtual machine (e.g., “Ubuntu Linux”) and choose where you want to store it.
Click Next.
Step 7: Allocate Disk Space
Specify the disk size for Ubuntu (e.g., 20 GB is recommended for a basic installation).
Choose Store virtual disk as a single file and click Next.
Step 8: Customize Hardware (Optional)
Click Customize Hardware if you want to allocate more RAM or CPU cores to the virtual machine.
Adjust settings as needed, then click Close.
Step 9: Finish Setup
Review your settings and click Finish.
Your new virtual machine will be created.
Step 10: Start Ubuntu Installation
Click Power on this virtual machine in VMware Workstation.
Ubuntu will load from the ISO file, and the installation process will begin.
Step 11: Install Ubuntu
Select Install Ubuntu from the options.
Follow the on-screen instructions to set up language, keyboard layout, and user information.
Choose Normal Installation or Minimal Installation depending on your needs.
Click Install Now to begin the installation.
Step 12: Complete Installation
After the installation is complete, Ubuntu will prompt you to restart the virtual machine.
Once restarted, log in with the credentials you created during setup.
Your Ubuntu Linux system is now installed and ready to use on VMware Workstation 17 Pro!
