Is this geared for the Chinese market? I looked at the FydeOS App Store and it's all in Chinese.

This OS serves no purpose. Linux is better in every way. It has constant updates, is free, has unlimited apps, nVidia drivers, isn't based on Google's insidious manifest V3. Fyde has zero customization, uses dumbed down settings, and is a mobile/tablet UI on a desktop environment. Who is the target audience?
Play Store should work even if it's not play store certified. Just certain apps like banking apps and games won't work
Another fantastic video, installed on spare mini pc all set up including play store, superb just need to get a video capture app as OBS wont run in linux container, hopefully i will find alternative

Yes it is a good operating system. However not for my PC or Laptop both have a Nvidia GPU…Too bad for me

16:45 See if F-Droid is available on Fyde's Store, or if you can install APKs manually (people apparently call this "sideloading"), then you can install Aurora Store from it. I much prefer it since I can login as anonymous, no need for a Google account.
Does it allow side loading android apps?
I love these OS that mix Linux and Android. I want to install on any smartphone!

I saw fydeOS awhile back and was kind of on the fence due to it's limited sbc support, it is nice to see this video as I had completely forgot about it and now might be just what I need for a project I've been considering recently. Love that the Androidlinux subsystem are a supplementary feature and that it uses Debian for the linux side as that is what (I imagine) most people would be familiar with thanks to Ubuntu.
I'm not sure I understand the appeal of an OS like this over just installing Linux, but it's neat that it works.
