You Should Enable This Setting on Windows 11

You Should Enable This Setting on Windows 11
In this video we will take a look at how to enable DNS Over HTTPS on Windows 10 and Windows 11 DNS over HTTPS (DoH) encrypts domain name system traffic by passing DNS queries through a Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (https) encrypted session. HTTPS is the primary protocol used to send data between a web browser and a website. This will improve online privacy by hiding DNS queries from view.

  1. Hey Brit, we still with windows 10. I think Microsoft made its mind and people on old hardware too. Which side will you pick? Or pick a new side which will be Linux? Am sure there will be mass migration if Microsoft is adamant on its decision. Atleast an option to opt out should be least provision.

  2. Having a local network, your Router does the DNS resolution for you. So make sure you change that on your Router instead, or change your Router model if your Router does not have that feature. Opening the IP address of google to reach the Google site is a feature google has enabled on their servers to REDIRECT you to the site itself. Its NOT general behavior, and IPs do not automatically resolve to domains, lookup HTTP 1.1 standrads please. Changing from DHCP to static DNS can cause serious trouble in company networks or home lab scenarios. You should realy overthink what your stating. Instead, you could recommend using OPNSense as a router and use DNSCrypt-Proxy for your whole local network, including your WLAN automatically, and providing much more security then THAT.

  3. Low effort clickbait video made to just get past YouTube algorithm. You could say what to enable right in the title and people could go look up on their own instead of a biased content for 6:33 minutes.

  4. > Opens video "Enable this setting on Windows 11 and Windows 10."

Doesn't explain how this works on Windows 10. Tried following the Windows 11 steps, options appear to be missing.

    Can I get an update?

  5. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
after watching this video I looked through the settings menu and found some very useful settings! The most helpful one was definitely the system reset setting as it allowed me to easily remove this piece of shit operating system 😂

  6. How can I fix this : when i play any game if I want to use obs to record it, the game will crash. Tryed another software the same problem. Every time I need to close the game and open it again…. Any fixes?

  7. I know people are recommending that this be done on a router to save doing it manually on each device in your network, however, the problem with this is that no 2 routers are the same, and neither are the instructions for performing actions on the router. Brian would have to make 25 different videos for 25 different router manufacturers/models… no thanks! This is also the case for BIOS/UEFI related guides, as each user's PC configuration is different, including firmware.
