To fix the WordPress asking for FTP login on Windows server you have to go to the WordPress press directory edit the wp-config.php file and add the following line at the end.
define(‘FS_METHOD’, ‘direct’);
Once you do this, then you have to edit the php.ini file inside the php folder and enable the OpenSSL extension
Then create an upgrade directory inside the wp-content folder inside WordPress and provide permission to the wp-content directory for Authenticated users.
