In Yu-Gi-Oh, some cards are godly–(Baronne de Fleur, Fiber Jar, Cyber-Stein, Snake-Eyes Poplar)–so powerful their presence ripples into the game around them and changes the shape of their entire world. On the other hand, some Yu-Gi-Oh cards are just gods, which is weirdly worse? No one’s worshiping or cursing Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes or Divine Dragon Aquabizarre. But less common than cards that are godly or semantically tied to some vague deity status are the actual God Cards™. These cards are denoted by their access to the most selective attribute in Yu-Gi-Oh: the DIVINE. Sadly, exclusivity doesn’t translate to usability. This could easily have been a ‘Best Of’ list, but for the most part, the bonafide Yu-Gi-Oh DIVINE’s are content to silently look on with little impact on the state of their game. So here’s a list of some of the most narratively powerful cards in all of Duel Monsters, ranked by how bad they actually are.

The worst 10 divine attribute monsters is like saying dragonite is the worst dragon type in gen 1 of Pokémon the worst of something doesn’t mean anything if there’s a limited number of options and god damn all of them are better then most other things
The trap Ultimate Divine Beast is most likely an adaptation of the BS move Yugi pulled in the Battle City finals when he summoned Slifer to take a hit for Obelisk.

Duel logs don't forget that sphere mode can be countered. By tributing it before it flips backward or linking it off or something along the line of dropping a sp little night and removing it from play the same time
just cause they are not meta they are fun to play and that what should be the only thing that maters plus this list has cards that are not divine so this list has no point

I think Halactie is partially to blame for Divine Beast / Divine Attribute support being so hit and miss. If it were too easy to get the Gods on board a Halactie OTK would become a viable strategy.
Instead of having so much support to try and help make the God Cards good they should have just retrained the God Cards to be better cards in general.

Level 12 divine beast requires slifer the sky dragon and unnamed pharaoh(also new monster card that I thought of so) one of them must be in the field…. To summon this card and this cards summon can not be negated
Effect: it has the effects of slifer and it can not be targeted by monster effects and unaffected by spells and traps….. And the moment it is summon it can a set spell card that has the slifer the sky dragon on its text…
same for the other divine beast cards…
So they have their anime capabilities but in a fusion card…….. And more modernized kind
If you dont care for the type you legally have to summon Quantum Cat or Swamp Mirrorer with Devine Beast. If you dont care for the attribute you legally have to summon Quantum Cat or Swamp Mirrorer with Devine. Same as En Passant in chess.

This video's a little unfocused where every entry mentions so many other cards on seemingly unconnected tangents that it's easy to frequently forget which card is actually the one getting a spot in the top 10 at all.

If the Egyptian god cards had their manga effects they would completely break the game and would be nigh invincible. Contrary to what duel logs said they have far better protection than Ultimate Falcon. Aside from their effect immunity to basically anything they also can’t be destroyed by battle with a monster of lesser divine hierarchy (basically any other monster) and you take no battle damage. On top of all of that they can’t be tributed by your opponent so the only viable option left (the kaijus) would be out of the window too. On top of their bonkers protection they also have insane offensive and field control effects. Yeah, they would break the game.
With Vampire Sucker and Zombie World, every high level monster is a kaiju suddenly. Mix that with Ultimeat Offering and the Floo continuous spell, you can kaiju your opponent's entire field, and then some

Shoutout to Dark Infant @Ignister being the only Divine Attribute (capable) monster to not make the Top 10 Worst Divine Monster list, and thereby becoming the best Divine Monster in the game.
Dimensional Allotrope Varis can become a Light Fiend, so it's full Fiendsmith combo.
That alone makes it better than Slifer.
Given we can include monsters that can change their attribute as part of the DIVINE monsters, I am surprised Homunculus the Alchemic Being didn't make the cut.
Or making a top 10 of cards that can change their own attribute would be their own separate list? if so, shouldn't we have put the worst of the worst attribute changers? or what were the critria for the ones seen in this list?
