  1. Awesome setup but y use fluent terminal over window's terminal? Microsoft has a newer terminal app that has all of those features and possible theming but it's built in to the os. Plus it's rly easy to add different shell such as bash (from git for windows) and powershell/cmd with the specialty visual studio dev environments.

  2. If your main reason for using Windows is DaVinci Resolve, you might want to consider using Rocky Linux instead. It's officially supported, and many users have reported success running DaVinci Resolve on it. If you've tested this distro and found it lacking, I’d love to hear your thoughts on what issues you encountered. Thanks!

  3. Microsoft PC manager is not as great. Always had issues with auto update failing due to edge web view runtime. Wise disk cleaner, intelligent standby list cleaner should be perfect. I use Winaero. Never knew Winutil supported reg tweaks as i thought it was similar to ninite installer.
Essential office is good if you used MS office exclusively

  4. Just an FYI for anyone using WinUtil tweaks, if you run into your laptop/tablet not reporting remaining battery life, I found out it's due to the "Set services to manual" tweak. I'm not sure which service needs to be set to automatic, but undoing (or not doing) this tweak fixed the issue. So if you care about battery estimates being reported properly in the taskbar/battery settings, leave this tweak out (or look into which service is needed to be set to 'Automatic', lol)

  5. Awesome video,! As someone who dual boots, I will check some of these apps out. I still use the "Files" app you recommended in your last video as a replacement to Windows Explorer! Would also like a MacOS version of this video (MacOs setup as a Linux Nerd)!

Great job and keep the quality content coming!

  6. Check the view options for Libre Office at the menu bar. You can make it look somewhat like MS Word's tabbed view. (Which is unproductive as hell to me – I prefer no menus at all and write all plain in Apostrophe (Linux) or IA Writer (Win/Mac), but from time to time I use OnlyOffice (looks more modern) or Libreoffice (better commenting, better zotero integration, better epub/mobi and pdf export) … in the end you have to decide by your own. For me, all are better than MS Word, which I got for free from my institution).

  7. Your bit ly links aren't working. At least when I tried to click them.
Edit. But it does work if I copy and paste. I don't know if you get affiliate payments though.

  8. Why not a macbook? DaVinci Resolve should work even better on it than on Windows laptops. Final Cut is also an extremely optimized software, and there is Pixelmator for photo editing.

  9. Titus' wintool is the single best thing you can have on winblows. I only use that thing for playing one single game, but the experience is still always miserable until you tweak it with wintool and get rid of telemetry and unnecessary background processes.
