Hi, this is completely unrelated to the video above, but I have seen your content about MXM laptops and I have an inquiry:
I have an Alienware M17x R3 with an Intel i7 2860QM with a GTX 580M graphics card and it runs windows 11 well.
The laptops runs well, but I really want to change the graphics card to maybe a GTX 1060M or a 970M….
I tried putting in the 1060, but the laptop didn’t boot at all so I think it just doesn’t work. I then put the 970 in. The laptop booted, but then displayed 8 beeps…
I have seen online in forums that the GTX 9XX cards onto support UEFI and my laptop only supports legacy bios.
Do you know a work around to this problem and is there a solution?
