like except for the short queen 🙁
Wow, this one is practically perfect. Not only can you leave the bed made, but it also covers the mattress while the bed is up so you're not looking at the bottom of the mattress.
Not much to say other than that, aside from reminding mister Cousin Garrett that we are usually eating while watching these videos. Do with that information and the poop sounds what you will.
Thanks for the tour, Uncle Josh!
For me ….kitchen is too long. I would use that storage for other things. I still don't understand the windshields in Murphy bed trailers. It does nothing but give a week point for water. My opinion. Thank you Josh or your hard work 😊
Usually this floorplan does not have a pantry, but they squeezed one in here. One thing I like about Rockstaff is the solid surface kitchen counters, even in shorter units. Don't care for the Murphy bed, and would want the theater seat and 2nd big vent fan. But I could make this work. They need to move the power outlets by the bed up above the 'shelf' at the head of the bed, speaking of which I like that the head of the bed isn't crammed right up against the nose. I can do without the windshield.
Is that Rockwood, doing Rockwood things!?! 😂
If that was a full queen, and switch out the dinette for theater seats, I'd like it. Usually I don't consider murphy beds, but if it is a non fold design so you can pick about any mattress, why not. You get a "free" sofa. Leave it in bed mode if you wish.
Nice camper but the Murphy bed is a deal breaker for me
There's a lot to like here. I think the pantry where the refrigerator is normally on other campers is great. Love the camp side window coverage. Love the solid surface counters. I think this is currently better than the Grand Design version.
The counter reminds me of that Wildwood no slide FXS .
This is an awesome layout and the Murphy bed and no elbow knocker radius shower such a nice build in my opinion. Thanks Uncle Josh for another great walkthrough 👍 2 parts of the #NerdHerd
Hwy Uncle Josh, I hope that you're having a great day! I love this Rockwood 2517 travel trailer! I was wondering if you can get the electric fireplace space heater in this unit? I like the way the inside is setup, I would either keep the big u-shaped dinette or I would get the tri-fold sleeper sofa. The sun roof over the bed ,I know you said you can get the big max-air fan,but could you get a second Ac unit over the bed? Thank you Uncle Josh for showing us and giving us the information good and bad on this unit! Your number one fan and friend Leonard from North Carolina.
Great little design.
Has an oven- Yay! Unfortunately, 12v fridge still poses obstacles vs 2 way. However, I can deal with the short queen. What a roomy concept. Incredible kitchen storage and counter space. I could deal with the dinette, but would love a theater seat option instead. Some thought was put into this rig. I like it a lot.
first Murphy bed review/perspective for me. very helpful, thank you. great review!
🎉#NerdHerd
Man do I dislike U dinettes. And that being across from the TV kind of is an epic fail for me. I do love the recliner based Murphy bed though, with the exception of that shelf. I love cubbies.
Amazing kitchen counter space
We have the 2514S, similar to this. We bought it after I watched your video on that unit about 20 times 😂. Or more. Loved (and still do) the breakfast bar and kitchen area. I have a love hate relationship with the Murphy bed. We upgraded the mattress. Wondering if we should have done that with the Murphy bed?? This mattress is much heavier…We had to reinforce the base. Wish it had a larger gray tank. That’s an issue at times. But, we are taking it places and having fun. We are actually in it right now watching you while camping in Georgia. It’s a 2022, and although I have a few more likes and dislikes, we have had only one problem with it. And it wasn’t even a problem. Had to find a reset button when we noticed the fridge wasn’t working when not hooked up to shore power… found it and all is good. No leaks or malfunctions, and all the things work. Good camper for 2 people. After hearing some of the horror stories about campers built during the time ours was probably built, I’m so happy we have no issues with ours.
I love this one it has a privacy curtain
This thing has more kitchen storage than my house does…
I totally appreciate your honesty. We need to know what road mode looks like and whether we can sleep on the dinette. When we go to purchase an RV in a few years for retirement, I will definitely go to you for it for just that reason.
We use the endoscopy storage in our 2516 for camp chairs! So thankful for that space!
Bring back the 2507s please,,!
I really love this one, I’m typically the one to have a problem in every area and this one I really just have three notes on so they’re doing amazing. First off I love the true U dinette, I’m the type to go camping with a bunch of people so the potential to seat 4 adults comfortably and maybe even one or two more if we get close or pull up some chairs is fantastic for me. The kitchen and bathroom speak for themselves, gorgeous storage gorgeous space for doing things. I would like more clothing storage but there’s just nowhere to put it and frankly with how much kitchen space there is I might just use that kitchen cabinet closest to the door for more clothing so I’m happy there. My only other complaint is that with so many RV makers getting their slides rates to be used while closed I’m honestly surprised that rock wood hasn’t made that standard. Especially with the big dinette on this one it would really put the usability over the top on this one because the kitchen and bathroom access is already great it feels like a bit of a shame that you can’t sit in the RV to eat and the bigger dinette wouldn’t be something I’d want to sleep on for a full camping trip but would be perfectly comfortable for a stealth night or two on the way to/from a destination. I really hope that the builders who make their slides usable when retracted keep it up and put some more pressure on the ones that don’t because it’s just such a big thing in my book. My last complaint is that it should be a full queen bed. I’m so sick of the short queens
That countertop looks like an airport runway, lots of room to take off! Throw a theater seat in the slide and call me gone! Thank you Josh!
I'd love to see a video on your opinion of the new Mini lite 2520bh!
Hey Josh, happy Friday buddy. I really like this camper. Specifically I love the counter space in the kitchen. There’s probably be more there than in my own personal house lol. The Murphy bed is OK although I would change out the mattress ASAP. And I like the way it does not have folds in it. To me that is prime time for uncomfortability lol. The bathroom also seems like it has a lot of room. For a small camper like this I am totally impressed with the actual space that it creates. Simply awesome. 👏. As usual buddy great video. Have a fantastic weekend and get some rest.😂. Keep Rockin Josh. 😁
Like video like murphy bed but need road mode sleeping
This is not my favorite minilite. If I'm towing 26 ft, I could get a private bedroom, separate dinette and theatre seat, big bathroom, real bedroom closet, etc. I can't imagine trading that for a long kitchen counter unless you're a chef. 🤷🏼♀️ If I'm sleeping on top of the front door I might as well tow something shorter and lighter. I don't see the perks of this one personally.
It looks like there are about five inches to the ceiling over the bed. Is it confirmed that a true queen wont fit? I would sacrifice a little length on the slide to get a full queen. Otherwise, it is a grade A trailer!
I appreciate as always road mode and bed length demo..Kitchen is amazing. Thanks
#RVNerdHerd 😊 🎉 😊
Zero bedroom storage. Murphy beds are stupid, they remove All the good storage for the bedroom..😢
I do love the Mini Lites but I just can't do one where the bed can't be used in Road Mode 😔
What kind of Monster would swing the doors Opposite each other on the fridge? 😢 Jesus Josh…
Like it. My most favorite part of this camper is the huge kitchen with all the storage and counter tops. The living space is good. Like how they do the bed. The bathroom is to small. Over huge fan of this. Thank you!
RW doing RW things. If only they would build some no slide options in the Mini Lites…
Love the Rockwood campers. They always look just a little more refined and classy. During your footage portion talking about the griddle, you show us the griddle side shelf and where the griddle would attach, then pan over to the 'camp kitchen area. there's a pull out shelf to the left front of the mini-fridge. It looks like some sort of cover or hood…what is that? I prefer the gas/electric version of water heater. I'm a NAVY shower person. I don't need 'endless hot water.'
Lost me at not being able to be in slide in road mode….
only complaint is for a lot of rvs is the bathroom sink is too small. wash one hand at a time small.
Thanks for the murphy bed demo! I always put those on the no-no list, but now, I might consider it. How annoying is it to operate the privacy curtain for those times you need to stagger to the bathroom in the middle of the night?
As a solo who prefers a Murphy bed, I like this camper. Big kitchen and decent bath, not a lot of tradeoffs.
I know I'm always seeing things in your videos you have to correct me on (sorry) but is Rockwood using Azdel for drawer bottoms in place of luan? If so, does it perform better?
Let me first start out by saying that it's hard to go wrong with any of the Rockwood Mini Lite (or Flagstaff Micro Lite) models. However, and this is probably not the most popular opinion, I think for a "couple's camper", you don't need this much counter space. If you are prepping meals for a family of four or more sure, but while lots of RVs don't have enough counter space, I think this is overkill for two people…plus I'm on record as not being a fan of dinettes. My personal favorite Mini Lite is the 2513S and I also really like the new 2519S (with theater seats instead of a dinette). Both have an L-shape counter which is plenty for two people without dominating the space.
But more importantly, when are we going to see the 2025 Ember 221MSL video!! Lots of great improvements for the new model year! #nerdherd
I like the idea that even if this is looked at as a "singles" set up, who knows if you might bring a friend on a trip, or have someone over that you met? The Murphy bed is a no brainer, to have a bed that gets out of the way and turns into a nice couch, just brilliant and a most effective space saver! Great medium sized RV that just keeps giving and takes nothing! Lastly, that kitchen counter is longer than Rt. 66, think of the possibilities with a good cookbook! Thanks Josh!
Other than the kid’s mattress😢this is an absolutely perfect couple’s floorplan with the theater seating “option” that they thankfully give you for the humongous 1950’s diner booth dinette💥💥💥
Josh, first, thanks for all you do! Second, could you please do a roundup video of couples trailers with a walkaround queen bed and dual axles 25 feet or under? Ideally 1/2 ton towable. Thanks!
