  1. Hi, I really like Pop_OS! I have a laptop with an Intel i5 8300HQ, 16 GB of RAM, and an Nvidia 1060 with 6 GB. I tried installing Pop_OS to play WoW: The War Within, but it doesn’t run well. I enjoy doing raids and Mythic Plus, but the FPS drops a lot. In the end, I had to switch back to Windows 10 because it feels more stable. Do you have any suggestions on what I can do to play well without losing so many FPS? In open world, it looks fine, but the content I like is almost unplayable.
    Cheers

  2. Ill try this. For some reason with lutris and bottles and any proton version I try, I get WowVoiceProxy.exe access_violation errors popping up in group content.
Edit: Any weakaura with TTS will trigger this crash eventually. Seems to just be a problem with proton/wine-ge and this game. Unfortunate.

  3. 13900K and RTX 4080 around 430 FPS on linux and 380 on windows in 1440p. Just standing on the same spot and switch between windows and linux
I havent tested in dungeons yet. But thats a 13% difference. I really like how responsive linux is everything is instant like you expect it to be on a highend PC

  4. I have incredible lags on Linux.. My GPU only gets detected as "Low Power Mode", a few features such as color depth are not even available at 8x. Same setup, running Windows I get double the Frames and also way less lags in general. It is really odd, I don't know why this is happening. 🙁

  5. Hi! I'm playing WoW through Bottles. However, it doesn't allow me to use Proton there… How can your application run it with Proton? By the way, I'll definitely give it a try, and thank you for all your Linux videos!
