How to Install openSUSE Leap 15.5 (KDE Plasma) on VMware Workstation/Player Properly
This video tutorial shows how to install openSUSE Leap 15.5 on VMware Workstation/Player step by step. This tutorial is also helpful to install openSUSE Linux 15.5 on physical computer or laptop hardware.
Open VM Tools (open source implementation of VMware Tools) is automatically installed during the OS installation but “Drag and Drop” and “Copy Paste” and “Shared Clipboard” not working. So I will show you how to fix this issue.
Commands used in the video
ps -aef | grep vmtoolsd
Output should be
/usr/bin/vmtoolsd
/usr/bin/vmtoolsd -n vmusr –blockFd 3
Run this command below
sudo kwriteconfig5 –file startkderc –group General –key systemdBoot false
Reboot VM and then check again by
ps -aef | grep vmtoolsd
