Today I’ll be doing a step by step guide showing how to install AMD’s ROCm on an RX 6000 series GPU, but this guide should also work for RX 5000 GPUs as well. Older GPUs might work but the instructions might be different. Check out this link to see if your older GPU is compatible:
Take note that this link doesn’t include any RDNA series GPUs, however I can confirm that RDNA cards are compatible. I’ll also be showing how to install PyTorch which is a framework for machine learning tools in Python such as Stable Diffusion and YOLO object detection which I’ll also be showing how to get set up today. If you’re an Nvidia user and are curious how to set up CUDA then I’ll be covering that in my next video.
