How to Create a Windows 11 VM in VMware Workstation Pro 17

If you have been installing Windows 11 virtual machines in VMware Workstation Pro 16 or older, you probably know that you need to add a TPM (Trusted Platform Module) and then encrypt the VM to get Windows 11 to install properly.

Now with VMware Workstation Pro 17, you can add the TPM, encrypt the VM and save the encryption password all during the creating of the virtual machine.

If you want to do a custom Windows 11 installation with an ISO that bypasses the TPM check then just choose I will install the operating system later and then you can mount your Win 11 ISO file so that way it doesn’t read it as Windows 11 and try to add a TPM and encryption.
