High Coast Drive Thru (Game Boy Chiptune)
My first try with a dual Game Boy composition! It was fun, but it took me like 4 times longer than usual to complete, a lot to juggle! Got many ideas along the way, I so will probably make a new attempt soon.
Tracked in LSDJ as usual, but to save my sanity (and batteries) I used two instances of the BGB emulator on my PC and bounced them to my cartridges when finished instead. I’m not really a fan of tracking with my computer keyboard, so I got the idea to use a USB-controller. I had a SNES controller “replica” laying around, which worked as a pretty close approximation to the GB layout for obvious reasons. Tip: I also made a keybind for the right shoulder button to work like alt + tab so I could switch between the two instances easily.

We can all learn from these two Game Boys – Play nice with each other

Chiptune! ❤❤❤
Been a long time since I heard an LSDJ chiptune.
Good Stuff! I might do dual GB chiptunes at somepoint too (idk though, the game boy color has a bunch of noise :<)
I have come back to video like 8 times since I first discovered it like a month ago. This content is amazing and you are legend. Thanksgiving or all the hard work.
Thank you very much for sharing.
How exactly do you backup your songs so they don't get lost/corrupted? I've been using LSDJ for almost 2 years now and recently lost my 3rd catalogue of songs because I just don't understand how to save or backup stuff properly. I understand how to use LSDJ itself pretty well but I don't really know what I'm doing.
Sounds great!
thanks for the chiptunes, I love them<3
Nostalgia<3
While I like the idea of making more with less, the duo Gameboy tunes are so rich! Also, I like the practical approach with the controller + emulator workaround x3 Does wonders for those who cherish their original hardware, hahaha. (I remember trying out Android OldBoy emulator with X-box 1 controller – it was pretty handy, although I can't seem to find an LSDJ version which would just work, lol.) Anyway, this is incredible work, you are cool!!
This one is actually ridiculous bro!! I still love the concept of working in LSDJ but the M8 Tracker workflow is so much faster its hard to motivate myself to begin projects on the original hardware anymore. Truly inspiring work here as always
