Christopher as always being a great teacher. We love your channel man!
You can certify it yourself on your own account.
Average users: *installs fyteos *10mins later-arggh, my payment my profile won't work this os is crap the devs. are a piece of shi*s!!
move on, just my opinion
Is this geared for the Chinese market? I looked at the FydeOS App Store and it's all in Chinese.
i have tp link usb wifi that doesnt work on ChromeOS flex, is fydeOS like that?
Nice review… the funny thing is the translation of FydeOS to Spanish mean a kind of pasta similar to Tagliately….
Really love the option to install alongside other operating systems.
how performance compare with waydroid?
Subscription for an OS is insanity
thank you for this video. My computer kept freezing withnew distros of Linux and with chromeOS Flex. it works great with FydeOS using the oder intel cpus.
Wonderful Demo Sir. Thankyou
Thanks! Response after this video is apparently so good that the official FydeOS downloads are now rate-limited ๐
This OS serves no purpose. Linux is better in every way. It has constant updates, is free, has unlimited apps, nVidia drivers, isn't based on Google's insidious manifest V3. Fyde has zero customization, uses dumbed down settings, and is a mobile/tablet UI on a desktop environment. Who is the target audience?
Play Store should work even if it's not play store certified. Just certain apps like banking apps and games won't work
Another fantastic video, installed on spare mini pc all set up including play store, superb just need to get a video capture app as OBS wont run in linux container, hopefully i will find alternative
Did you happen to test, off camera, Wine compatibility?
Thanks for a great video, as always! Maybe FydeOS is the answer to the stupidity of Windows 11 being forced on us next year?
Can I install this on a Chromebook?
Excellent, I have been waiting for future updates on Chromium OS.
I'm more happy it has offline capabilities.
Keep up the Great work ๐ค
Great video but I wish you'd have given us a quick overview of Fyde – how old are they, where are they based, how many people, how many version releases have they done?
Very interesting business model with what looks like THE RIGHT PRICES. I hope it works out for them !!
cool topic!
Yes it is a good operating system. However not for my PC or Laptop both have a Nvidia GPU…Too bad for me
Can I run this.. I have Core i5 2nd Gen. with nvidia GPU?
16:45 See if F-Droid is available on Fyde's Store, or if you can install APKs manually (people apparently call this "sideloading"), then you can install Aurora Store from it. I much prefer it since I can login as anonymous, no need for a Google account.
Does it allow side loading android apps?
I love these OS that mix Linux and Android. I want to install on any smartphone!
i'm using fydos for a couple of month now as a android box on a tv , the playstore work well for me .
Fideos xd
Aurora Store might work on this FydeOS to install Google Play apps? Also F-Droid for open source apps, as well as Aurora Store.
Nah i would just like to stay away from that Chinese os
I saw fydeOS awhile back and was kind of on the fence due to it's limited sbc support, it is nice to see this video as I had completely forgot about it and now might be just what I need for a project I've been considering recently. Love that the Androidlinux subsystem are a supplementary feature and that it uses Debian for the linux side as that is what (I imagine) most people would be familiar with thanks to Ubuntu.
I'm not sure I understand the appeal of an OS like this over just installing Linux, but it's neat that it works.
