Hiii I'm the developer of Alpaca, thanks for the shout out π
Dopamine 3 is THE music player you should try. Great soft.
Man, I like your channel. You so remind me of Brodie Robertson. He's one of my fav Linux teachers or more Linux Advocates. Wish more LA's would show & compare Apps, just like you did.
Damn, new to Linux, but that look at … 6:28 … Really makes me feel comfortable now moving from WIndows to Linux. I use @TM a lot and run it in background on Win10. I don't like Htop.
>> 6:56 … Man, that really makes it simple and easy to analyze what Services are running, along with Apps. About equivalent to Windows. Gosh, I love that app. Never seen it before.
New to channel, but I wish you'd have put an outline in Description with Timestamps where we can see them and jump to the content that we want to see. Okay, I see it in the Chapters on the right now. Didn't see that before, but a singular single, line-by-line layout with hyperlinks would be nice. Then, we can copy & paste it into our Lists of what apps we want to play-with & learn.
>> Sorry, I correct myself, and I made a mistake. You did do it, but it's under the app & hyperlinks. Be nice if it was before that, because people aren't gonna see it as readily, I think.
Lutris is useless for me. Never manage to get it to work.
I'll stick to steam.
Really Thanks for this video dude, much needed for me as a beginner on linux, CachyosBTW XD.
Of all the long-list-of-Linux-apps videos I've seen, this is the first one that actually addressed some of the gaps I've been looking to fill. Thanks!
what os you are using ?
Found a couple of nice applications thank you!! also man the amount you said adwata is funny xD
ive seen so many of these lists where it's just generic/already popular apps
thank you for showing some actually interesting stuff ima go ahead and look into these further
Bro, thank you
If you write a lot of notes, and you use Neovim you should try nvim-neorg plugin. It's one of those "second brain" tools, as they call them, like your personal wiki. I switched from Obsidian as soon as I tried it. From their description: "Neorg is an all-encompassing tool based around structured note-taking, project and task management, time tracking, slideshows, writing typeset documents and much more. The premise is that all of these features are built on top of a single base file format (.norg), which the user only has to learn once to gain access to all of Neorg's functionality.".
Thanks you just solved a lot of problems I had. It's impressive what those apps out there can do.
Tbh the only thing keeping me on windows is being able to mod S.T.A.L.K.E.R Anomaly
Have you considered ever trying NixOS?
Have you tried bazzite? How does pika compare to it if you have tried it? (Sorry if that is in your pika video, i will watch that tomorrow)
Im gonna step one more step further and say most apps inuse are foss terminal apps i love them id pay for them they are great theres literally no ither apps anywhere that have sane ux and ui on same level on that
That's a lot of adwaita apps for someone who is using kde π
"Upscayl" is another really incredible GPU-driven AI upscaler for images. It has a tonne of settings to tweak/play around with, and additional models can be added via plugin. Give it a go!!
I am SOOO gonna try some of these out! TYVM π
For a KDE installation, it's very GNOME. But it's alright, nowdays looks like everything on Linux is GTK/Libadwaita (and I love it).
