That comment about your concern for DB making a ton of recycled jokes about the reboot for Devil May Cry makes sense because besides Frieza vs Megatron they recycled a ton of those jokes for Deku vs Asta and it felt so blatant that they wanted people to not check out BC because they half-assed the analysis and made Asta look like a total monster with how the fight ended. Asta and Deku are two of my favorite characters and they did them both so dirty that I don't want to see Asta on Death Battle ever again. Deku, however, I want to see return with a whole new matchup idea I've done a lot of thinking about that I'm sure no one else would want to see.

Don'te vs Chai would honestly have the potential to be one of the most visually stunning episodes if it existed.

Not only would Chai be on beat to the battle track like you mention BUT the two could easily be launched into limbo half way through the battle which you know would make the environment animation dope too.

Seeing as I don't recognize some of the oponents in your kh mus list and that kh is my favourite series too having a video discussing them wouldn't be a bad idea.

As for Xion vs Cell, if I were to be honest with you this mu dosen't ring with me as much as it does with other people. Don't get me wrong, I get why many are interested and I agree that it has it's fair share of connections and that it has potencial chararacter interaction and fight wise if done properly. The thing to me is that i don't feel the conections are that strong (even if them facing their personas in the oposite way is something interesting) so to me it feels a bit forced, but what really makes me not being that much on board with this mu is the scaling. I don't really know how it got popular this idea that kh characters are this uber powerfull but while I don't see it as something imposible the only way I see to make the match fair would be to really highball Xion and to have a lot of interpretation in her favour. Thing that I dislike because not only it would be a bit skechty but it would set a precedent making it so kh characters will always be considered this uber powerfull beings and thus many interesting mus would be rendered as not viable to have since there would be no point in the fight (wich is the only main gripe i have with Yoda vs Mickey, it is a good episode overall but they scaled Mickey from a travel that Roxas never really made, he was already there and thus having the issues i cited). That's the reason why while i don't think it is a bad mu per se nor i am against it i would prefer it to be the last kh mu they would make since there are lots of kh mus that I would be interested in that wouldn't be posible if this mu came first due to the scaling. In that sense i would prefer Xion to fight 2B or Vivi (i never played ff9 but for what i saw he could be a good one), ones that wouldn't make sense to have after Cell and that i feel that matches Xion better.
As for Riku while I barely know about power rangers and I think his best mu would be Cecil from ff4 it seems to be a good one, it's good that Riku has quite a few good mus
Having said all of this i too have a whole lot of kh mus for the same reason as you. I too try to avoid the popular but shallow ones and have quite a few that not only are pretty original and for some reason didn't get to see on the internet while also being extremly fitting in my opinion for various reasons and thus deserving of having an episode so i would also be interested in sharing them specially since I never saw anyone having most of my ideas

What I personally want out of Death Battle is more anime matchups outside of the big shonens. Some of my favorite matchups include:

Tanya von Degurechaff (The Saga of Tanya the Evil) vs Izetta (Izetta: The Last Witch)

Dogfighting mages with guns fighting alternate versions of WWI and WWII respectively. Known as "White Silver" and "The White Witch", both recieve great power from a magical gem at personal cost. Fight wise, both of them have enough power to penetrate the others defenses so it could go either way.

Centorea Shianus (Monster Musume: Everyday Life With Monster Girls) vs Tisalia Scythia (Monster Girl Doctor)

Both are blonde, blue-eyed, big boobed centaur babes trained in the use of swords, bows and lances. Centorea comes from a long line of knights and favors the sword, while Tisalia comes from a long line of mercenaries and favors the lance. Centorea would probably win in the end since while Tisalia as a high ranked arena fighter has more experience actually fighting, Monster Musume is more of a slapstick comedy, which usually results in better stats.

Legolas (The Lord of the Rings) vs High Elf Archer (Goblin Slayer!)

Just pitting the premier elven archers against each other. Legolas would probably take it due to his superior melee skills and him having crazy movie feats, while most of HEA's best feats haven't been animated.

Fran (Reincarnated as a Sword) vs Delta (Emminence in Shadow)

Sword wielding cat girl vs dog girl brawler. Both are battle junkies at heart, always ready to throw down. I like both characters and I like the idea of pitting a cat against a dog, but I can't think of much of a connection between them and there's probably better matchups for both of them out there. Fran would probably take this one thanks to Teacher and their frankly absurd amount of skills and magic powers.

Max Sterling (Macross/Robotech) vs Thundercracker (Transformers)

Admittedly, this one is just because fighter jets that turn into giant robots are really really cool. There might be better pilot/transformer matchups in terms of connections.

Guts (Berserk) vs Clare (Claymore)

THE giant sword matchup. Wandering warriors fighting monsters both without and within.

Maple (Bofuri: I Don't Want to get Hurt, So I'll Max Out My Defense) vs Naofumi Iwatani (The Rising of the Shield Hero)

THE greatshielder matchup. I've soured a bit on the matchup after seeing just how high powerscalers rate the Shield Hero (putting the web novel version in the same tier as Super Saiyan Son Goku), but this still feels like a match that needs to happen.

Rimuru Tempest (That Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime) vs Shiraori/Kumoko (So I'm a Spider, so what?)

Isekai protagonists reincarnated into inhuman monsters that amassed a ton of skills and eventually evolved into gods. Rimuru would probably win due to having MUCH more power under his command.

I had pretty little exposure to GI Joe growing up, but Cobra Commander is just a character that I love anyways just because I love his design and any time he or a parody of him speaks it always makes me laugh. Would love to see him fight that red guy

What about the Disney Princess Royal the team is more interesting to do

I have to disagree with the Elsa vs Jack Frost take for this reason.
But are ice users from ealry 2010's movies from rival companies, who lost any form of social communication with the outside world due to an accident involving their younger sisters (Anna getting shot in the head and JF sacrificing himself to save his sister from a frozen lake)
They spent downright years completly isolated from the world, and despite who much they tried to cope by having fun with their powers, couldn't shake off that feeling of loneliness
Luckily, they were both physically as well as mentally saved by a group of people who still care about them as person and as such they now spent their time (that we know) hanging with magical people just like them (Elsa in that magic forest of the sequel and Jack with The Guardians)

Sly Cooper has been one of my favorite characters since I was a kid, when me and my older brother would take turns playing through the games, so that immediately earned a like and sub right there.

While I'm not all that familiar with the match-up, I would argue that Sly has a bit better of a chance than mentioned here, based on the fact of Clockwerk being a centuries old schemer with a (if I remember right) healing body & hate boner for one trash panda family line. Clockwerk is no slouch to put down, given he survived being submerged in lava, or Le Paradox fighting him through the stream of time. Idk if it's the same as the one from Doctor Who, even though it looked like that to me, lol.

Plus, he's got a lot of gadgets that would be a lot of fun to see bounce off Rouge's different abilities, such as their different bomb types clashing (Sly's Clock Bombs and those Bombs Rouge has in SA2 iirc) or her thinking she can just fly away, only for Sly to take off with the jetpack and try to shoot her down.

I won't say Sly 100% would win, but I think he may have just enough tricks up his sleeve to squeak out a win. Either way, glad to see the franchise still getting love ^.^
