I went camping in a rocky crack using my tarp as a roof. Although I think this is man made, some kind of trench from past mining activity. Whatever it is, the rocky chasm combined with my tarp made a lovely lil nook for the night out of the rain and wind – always check on your map that your nook is not at lower elevation than lakes, rivers or streams and at risk of flooding!
