Broken Hill hit by ‘possible tornado’, as storms affect mining operations at Olympic Dam | ABC News



The Flinders Ranges and areas of South Australia’s Far North have been hit by violent storms that have cut power to towns and properties in the region. In New South Wales, the outback city of Broken Hill may have to run off back-up generators for several weeks after tornadoes brought down power infrastructure.
