ZimaOS might make me switch…
ZimaOS Beta is CasaOS but with more features and functionality. Once all the kinks are worked out I can see this being an obvious choice for my NAS.

This wallet shows a balance when imported into OKX, but shows 0 when imported into BN. Can anyone tell me why? I am sure there is a balance in my account

Damn I love the UI design
CasaOS all the way
Its interesting that ZimaOS is an operating system you actually install vs CasaOS just being a script you run on an existing OS
thats just casaos
Must have services 2024 vid coming? Or are most things the same from 2023?
Can we use it for DIY nas like pi/ mini pc like casaOS
thanks for staying true to yourself and not vendor-lock yourself for profit!
Zima balls
rauc sounds like the OS was created using Yocto, so it's a fully custom one, not based on anything else
this looks really good. especially with hexos announced recently, this can be a serious competitor if it gets polished further. looks very beginner friendly and very nice gui
If possible, can you do a comparison between zima or casaOS and hexOS? I when i saw the LTT video casa os came to my mind too.
This looks amazing but judging by the comments down below, it needs some work, I'll let it mature a bit because using for production.
Just use GUIX or NixOS
So you don't need to install Debian first anymore? Nice.
you are introducing me to my future nerd stationd, the interface is so clean… I hope the hypervisor support is very good for hardware virtualization as I would want to run multiple desktop screens with this.
LMAO 2:58
Fun fact, "zima" in Polish means "winter". If we consider creator nickname ("IceWhale")… this sounds like fun coincidence.
What happens if you install tailscail?
Between ZimaOS and HexOS which is better?
I might have to give this a spin. Big fan of CasaOS, especially after adding 3rd party app repositories.
14:03 I wonder if the system is unmounting the pool during the file transfer? Which doesn't make sense. Seems like a good use case for not migrating the apps to the pool. ๐ค
16:56 Nevermind ๐
Just use windows and keep everything in your downloads folder
Zima Deez Nuts
It's definitely still very rough, but I tried it the other day in a VM and I liked how it's coming along. Give it a year or so and I think this is going to be a very respectable OS.
Way better than HexOS
linus just showed his hexOS. things are starting to get spicy in the homelab space
You mean you don't want to pay 299 for hex?
Didn't know about CasaOS rebranding. Thanks for the heads-up, glad the video got recommended
