3DS & Wii U Online Termination, AYANEO Backtracks On SteamOS & Crash/Spyro Prototypes Discovered!

This week in retro gaming, Nintendo have given us the date that 3DS and Wii U online services terminate. You have until 8th April 2024 to play online in games like Splatoon, Super Mario Maker and the original version of Mario Kart 8 before the servers close for good.

AYANEO recently revealed that their Next Lite handheld was going to run SteamOS before they quickly clarified that it wasn’t the official SteamOS, but a sort of clone OS called HoloISO. They’ve now backtracked once again and the Next Lite now comes with Windows 11 pre-installed.

Crash Bash and Spyro: Year of the Dragon prototypes have been discovered and posted online, great news if you’re looking to experience pre-release versions of these PS1 classics!
