  1. I had the first model year Corolla hybrid, only came in a base trim, and good god was it bad. Tons of road noise, massive understeer at any turn over 15mph, terrible infotainment, hard, and extremely hard plastics everywhere, but the damn thing got over 500 miles per tank. Glad they made an SE trim with some better materials and finish

  2. Previous generation Corolla ECO you showed us recently was better and more interesting car. My friends mother purchased base 24 Corolla just recently, she had 97 Corolla before and she doesn't like new one one bit. Way too much tech for her. I wish toyota brought back economy class vehicle like Yaris ,echo,Tercel used to be.

  3. I love how car companies think we're gonna lose our shit with excitement when they bring out some new boring computer on wheels that gets really good fuel economy. I know a corrola isn't exactly a "driver's car" but come on, they just take the driving aspect out of cars and the feeling of control and unity with the vehicle by adding more bullshit each year. Not to mention that none of these cars are affordable anymore and people looking for something new on a regular income resort to buying a new piece of shit mg.

Fuck evs, fuck the car industry in general ATM, it's in a fucking dark age, there's no driver in the equation of vehicles now, it's just soulless overly electronic transportation.

  4. Prius is better way more practical with the hatch. And the 2.0 liter isnt it like 50 more hp. The awd only works up to 44 mph anyway. Car prices are crazy I’m sure the LE awd is only like 3 grand less.

  5. I’d rather get the Civic Hybrid for a little bit more. Fresher design and tech, more dynamic drive, more premium and roomier cabin, and don’t need awd where I live (actually most people don’t).

  6. Hi: Please comment on the 4 wheel drive capability of the 2024 Toyota Corolla SE Hybrid…I wanted to learn what you thought of its off road capabilities. Please advise. Or is this car not intended for Off Road use…I am only thinking beach sand or lower level off road. Thank you.

  7. It's a nice car – my folks have a '22 Corolla Hybrid and it continues to beat the 52 mpg (FWD) EPA estimate easily. I think the Corolla Hybrid is the best value on the market. I do wish we got the wagon version in North America – it is by far the best looking version of the car in my opinion!

  8. Zack, The biggest challenge for the Corolla Hybrid at this trim level is the Camry Hybrid LE. For very similar money you get much more space, substantially more power and
    better fuel efficiency.
