Unable to update Windows 10 & 11 and getting windows update error 0x800f081f? You can fix the windows update error easily with these two methods.
Method 1: Right click on windows start button – windows powershell admin – copy and paste the following commands.
DISM /Online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:NetFx3 /All
wmic /namespace:”\rootsubscription” path __EventFilter where Name=”Skip TPM Check on Dynamic Update” delete
reg delete “HKLMSOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionImage File Execution Optionsvdsldr.exe” /f
reg add “HKLMSYSTEMSetupLabConfig” /f
reg delete “HKLMSOFTWAREPoliciesMicrosoftWindowsWindowsUpdate” /f
The process will take some time to finish. Please restart your computer to apply the changes! Then proceed to update your windows, and hopefully it’ll be successful.
Method 2: Windows Update with Windows ISO file without loosing your files and apps. Go to Microsoft’s official website and download your Windows ISO file as shown in the video.
