AKSHUALLY as an experienced .NET dev, JetBrains RIDER is light-years ahead of Visual Studio for .NET development, plus it's cross platform π
I assume all the same caveats apply to Window ARM laptops and their mixed compatibility with many popular tools and these Windows VMs, right?
i wish parallel will support windows x86 on mac without suffering performance. Got some legacy code and it wont work on windows arm.

I am using Parallels for old access app and itβs works wonders. Funnily enough, itβs render the font better than the actual access app run in windows π

Hey Alex, thank you very much for all your hard work. Is there any possibility to run .NET Framework 4.7 x86 on apple silicon Mac? Does Parallels support this, or is there some kind of translation layer that could make it possible?
We need emulation not virtualization and it can do virtual networks or Windows Server.
As a blind developer using mac parallel is still not an option. Voiceover screen reader doesn't manage QT and I think parallel is made with qt? That's why I stick with VMWare Fusion currently. Ok QT has never been good when it comes to accessibility even on windows but still. Microsoft recommends it officially.
I always get so much hate when I say I cannot imagine writing dotnet without Visual studio.

also, another question… why tf they charging hefty amount for a software which is virtually free (likes of vmware now), also all these machines are made on my pc, why wud I pay for resources for my own machine… i dont think i get it.

Looking for that link for the Ai thing you were talking about. Even though the M4s are coming, Iβm still thinking of getting a 16β M3. Looking at either 18/512 or 36/512. Buying from Best Buy so thatβs the only choice. Donβt think the 16β Max base model is for me. Might be overkill.
