Windows Longhorn Build 3790.1232

This is Windows Longhorn build 3790.1232 (3790.1232.winmain.040819-1629) in VMware Workstation Pro. This is an Omega-13 build which was compiled on 2004-08-19 and expires on 2005-08-14. While this build appears rather uninteresting due to its strong resemblance to Windows XP RTM (it’s basically Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 with Windows XP branding), it marks the first post-reset build. According to BetaWiki, approximately four hours after the compilation of build 4093, the development of Longhorn was reset and they started fresh by using a work-in-progress version of the Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1.

How I got this to run:
VMware Workstation Pro 16.2.3
Backwards compatibility set to VMware 6.5-7.0
OS set to Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition
1 GB RAM
1 CPU Core
40 GB IDE HDD
3D Acceleration enabled

This build has zero-day activation which is a major issue. This can be solved by activating it in safe mode and then restarting. I am unfortunately unable to share any links to what I used.

For drivers, use VMware Tools 6.5 drivers for audio, display, and system devices.
