Windows 11 on ARM is rough – Acer Swift 14 AI

The Acer Swift 14 AI is built around a Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus chip and that means in this review we will be dealing with Windows 11 running on Arm, rather than the usual x86 from AMD or Intel. As you will see we had quite a rocky ride in this review and we hope you find the journey interesting. Read more here:

  1. Cinebench-wise, R23 is x64-only and entirely emulated on win/arm64 via Prism. Cinebench 2024 has an arm64 version, but you need to deliberately download that — the app cannot figure out the host arch on its own.

  2. I am actually excited to see how things go with AI in the next two years – once they figure out how to do hands, arms and feet and eyes, it might have a chance of fooling people

  3. I like Leos reviews, always tells it like it is – just surprised that AI seems to not have developed much since they announced it. Even the copilot+ response was just voice to text from some stupid website
