Windows 11 February 2024 update (Moment 5/KB5034848) – new features and changes
The Moment 5 feature drop-style update (KB5034848, build 22631.3235 and 22621.3235 with configuration update KB5035349) is now available for Windows 11 (23H2 and 22H2)! The Patch Tuesday update on March 12th (KB5035853, build 22631.3294 and 22621.3294) also includes the features, though still on a gradual rollout. Features will be fully available by April 9th with that month’s Patch Tuesday update, in addition to being enabled out of box in the March optional update.
Available starting February 29th, this update includes several new features including smart (AI powered) snap assist suggestions, the ability to turn off news in Widgets, many accessibility improvements, updates to Snipping Tool, Notepad and Photos ( updates to file sharing, better Windows 365 integration and much more. Moment 5 isn’t as big as the Moment 4 and version 23H2 releases in the fall, but it is a nice update with some quality of life improvements.
