  1. yes, it tries to render the menu upwards and goes "out of the screen area" – wonder if it's also corrupting some video memory (GDI ? Is that still a thing ?) while doing so.?
Very strange, I have seen this as well. But of course I am running in a virtual machine, so it's not my main OS. Guess I'll have to wait for the fix.
(btw I run Windows 11 ARM on MacOS via VMware fusion)

  2. This also removed the "Windows AI" and "Windows Copilot" sections in (Group Policy > User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components). They are gone, I had made changes there, but now they are gone. Weird👀

  3. Mine opens upwards indeed, so I can confirm that bug – but I do however see *the whole menu*. You're only seeing the bottom 2 items because you have file explorer full screen; try it in a windowed mode. 😉

  4. Hi there. I recently installed Win11 24H2 from win10 and did the update yesterday and I also see the same thing when I clicked on the 3 dots. I was hoping that Microsoft would do a update where I did not have to worry about issues other than the 8Gig file that does not get deleted. I will see by Tuesday when I update again, what is gonna happen. Thanks for the heads up. I would have never known about that small thingy. Have a great day.

  5. Brent, Brent, Brent!!! I just realised that after installing 24H2, pesky Recall was enabled by default on my desktop machine, which ISN'T COPILOT+ PC! And it seems I'm not alone in this. What the heck!??? Yesterday I checked the steps provided by @mikesunboxing in his October 15th video – otherwise I wouldn't know! They told us lies, apparently! I wouldn't install 24H2 if I knew! Can you please investigate and make a video on this? We should whistleblow and let people know about this!

  6. I'm also on Windows 11 24H2 KB5044384 but I have more options:

Selected "This PC" and left click on … (three dots)
    —–
    Connect to a media server

    Add a network location

    Map network drive

    Disconnect network drive

    —–

    Select all

    Select none

    Invert selection

    —–

    Properties

    Options

  7. Hey Brent. I'm in Windows 10 and since the last updates I'm experiencing a lot of different BSOD right after wake up my system from suspension. I suspect from these updates since the minidumps point certain drivers (that I had installed from long time with not an issue until now) and also Windows Kernel security itself, so it's weird cause SFC doesn't find any corruption. Do you have any info about this? I suspect the update which include new W11 features could be responsible and seriously thinking to uninstall it, what do you think?

  8. They are breaking a lot of things with the latest updates, also in 23H2. My taskbar has now turned to solid brown for some reason, while it used to be for a large degree transparent.

  9. Yep i have this bug the menu goes upward, I minimized the explorer window to see if all the options are on the menu and they are all there its just upward, I use Explorer Patcher and there are no issues with the File Explorer Ribbon enabled

  10. Hey Brentech, can You please address the issue I got 2 months in a row while installing cumulative updates.
The error is 0x8007371b. I got it when installing september and october updates. It happened on 10 out of 12 PC's i tested it on.
The ONLY way, and I really tested EVERYTHING to fix this, but the ONLY way I could fix this is to run the windows installation from the ISO file and then run windows update.
PC was running 23H2, then I updated to 24H2, ran windows update, FAIL after fail. Then I ran the install again, and september update installed fine.
Then today I let it install the newest cumulative, FAIL again. Ran windows install from ISO again, no fail after this.
Now I have a feeling it will fail on patch tuesday in november.

  11. What has Microsoft been doing for a whole year to improve Windows 11?

    Many problems , many bugs

I still say many features and many additions that do not benefit the Windows system

I hope to…… work on (( improving and stabilizing)) the Windows 11 system. This is better

I hope Microsoft hears my voice and works on a special Edition of ( Windows 11 G) G for Gaming

  12. I've had this bug for a while, it's not particularly new with this KB. I don't remember if it started with 24H2 initially or a smaller update to 23H2, but I remember seeing this bug when I stopped using the Files app (files {dot} community) and opted for the regular ol' File Explorer to save memory…

  13. It seems like Microsoft is not capable of creating a Windows without bugs anymore. It already took them so long to release Windows 11 24H2 and even now it has a lot of issues. When will Windows 11 finally reach a point of stability like in Windows 7?

  14. Menu opens up but all options still visible for me.
Fixed sfc /scannow and and storage issue and thankfully not noticed anything else.
Don't use for gaming so can't comment about frame rates and menus etc

  15. All the options are actually there. But since it opens up instead if down they are not visible when the window is full screen. Minimize the window a bit and try again. Select all etc are there.
