VXLAN – What is VXLAN?



Virtual eXtensible LAN, or VXLAN is a network virtualization technology that is exceptionally useful for large datacenter and cloud computing deployments. VXLAN has been developed to overcome some of the limitations of scalability that are inherent to more traditional Layer 2 technologies.

In this video, I’ll introduce the needs that have driven the development of VXLAN and I’ll present an overview of the technology and how it works.
