This video shows two virtual machines on ESXi that are migrated to a destination host. On the destination host a packet capture shows the sending of reversed arp ethertype 0x8035 packets. This is the ‘Notify Switches’ option that is used to enforce MAC learning on the physical switch to have it update the MAC address table with the new port where the VM traffic will be coming into from the destination ESXi host.
