This is a computer animation cutscene using custom objects created in Blender, imported into Unity and combined with objects from the Unity store. It utilizes the Unity CineMachine add-in with a track and dolly and 7 virtual cameras to allow changing the look-at targets during the fly-by to create the illusion of the pilot looking around.
The control room monitor and the drive-in like screen at the landing site playback an MP4 video that has been edited to match other video in my demo reel. The IT area computer monitors run 10 second loops from actual virtual computers in VMware Workstation to give them authentic looking Windows, NetWare, Ubuntu, Solaris, and Amiga screen displays.
For the Fall 2022 semester, I took an independent study class to learn Optitrack Motive motion capture and AutoDesk Motion Builder in the Ohio University GRID lab. I created some animated characters using Adobe Mixamo’s stock motion library for the ones in the background and custom Optitrack Motive motion captures for ones in the foreground.
For the Spring 2023 semester, I created sound effects for the experience using the Wwise audio plug-in in my Immersive Audio class.
