So i upgraded manually thanks to you, but immediately after i did the updates i got annother update through the settings update… KB5043178 so i'm not sure wich version i downloaded before that… It's always like this app. i update manually and only then after i did that, the updates via settings menu start recommending me new updates. I just don't know if it's the same or better version…
Thanks for this, been wanting to get on 24H2 !!
Thanks for another great video. I'll keep this in my back pocket if I need it. I also appreciate a fellow Wreckfest fan!
hello mike is 24h2 worth it now tho i downgraded bk to win 10 cuz of stuttering on 23h2 and i have 5700x3d now and 23h2 was cousing bad stuttering is ti worth going bk to win 11 now 24h2 is out or stay on windows 10 thanks mike
Yep. No more VR gaming HP Reverb G2.
Thanks Mike. Questions though, what are the advantages to 24H2 over 23H2? Isn't 24H2 the version that forces Bitlocker on you amongst other things? I was dreading when Microdoft tried to force this update on me for that very reason.
Also interesting the file size error form nearly 40Mb to 25Mb One wonders what hidden files there were, or maybe not?
Interesting how Windows Cleanup reports a very different file size to Windows.old using file explorer.
Thanks Mike done it last night All good. Not issues and all compatible finally is 24H2. Just discovering what's new Feutures.
Nice How To. Thanks i will use it in the future ๐
Thank you for this Mike, I was aware of changes and MS flexing their muscles but did not want to go through reinstalling programs I use. Takes forever lol Quick question: when win.old shows 38gb only 25gb is claimed back so should we manually remove the 13gb? Thanks Mike and Kath ๐บ๐
Thanks! I will do this tomorrow
I turned off TPM in my BIOS…so No Windows 11 for me even though my CPU supports it. Windows Health Check software said my PC is not compatible for Windows 11. Windows 10 and Linux Mint will be my main OS's. Thanks for sharing Mike. Take care guys. Cheers
I keep getting. Error. Canโt create files. Please check if you have permission to write to the installation folder
Thanks ๐
Still running Windows 10 OS because MS is stop us from having local account and i don't want to use MS account at all since it needs network to sign in. MS needs to stop forcing us to have MS account over local account. People should decide to have MS or local account on their PC's not MS at all.
Overall My Windows 10 OS has been actting weird related to hardware errors for no reasons. I install fresh clean copy too since it was my first time building a custom gaming pc. What should I do? Install fresh copy of windows 10 again?
My Windows 11 laptop still hasn't updated to 23H2 yet. It's only 2 years old with good specs – Intel 11th Gen Core i5 quad core cpu, 64 GB ram, 1 TB NVME for OS and programs, 1 TB SSD for data. My newer desktop updated right away and aside from the cpu the specs on it aren't as good as the laptop. Any ideas as to why the laptop won't update to 23H2 ? I've done everything Microsoft suggests and its frustrating. Thanks. Please keep the excellent video coming!
No Blue Screens after updating?? Some people are reporting this issue.
did a clean install of 22H2 today
Thanks, Mike. But I'm staying on Windows 10 22H2 forever.
Nice!
I have Windows 11 on my PC but for some reason it still keeps telling me I have Windows 10, any idea why that is Mike, my PC is updated every time a new update comes out but it still says I have Windows 10?
