Got both issues over here aswell
OMG the sfc scannow was also always giving me corruption files as well, i was going crazy xd
Always best to hold off and not update straight away
Too late, already updated, no issues at all
I discover the folowing , CMD is removed from windows 24H2 its now powershell, maybe thats why SFC / Scannow is not working good, when you want to cleanup Windows update stop windows updates in services and remove the SoftwareDistribution folder, then clean again after the restart. (The folder SoftwareDistribution comes back after restart) hope this helps abit.
Now user is tester….😂😂😂
I got the SFC issue as well after upgrading from 23H2 to 24H2.
You taskbar is too big, change back to Windows 10 and install OpenShell
mind done the same restored back to 23 did it once and it was ok
Guys, don't worry. These bugs will be ironed out, but new bugs will come and keep us in familiar territory.
Windows 11 is total crap, why waste time for those crappy windows…..
Simple networking between 24h2 and non compliant pc on 23h2 is messed up.
After all of the Microsoft shenanigans with Windows 11… I turned off TPM in the BIOS so I wouldn't be offered the update. Now my PC is not compatible and I'm okay with that. Windows ME and Windows 11 are pretty much the same garbage in my opinion.
I thnk it's a bug because my pc is not behaving like it has corrupt files. It's zooming along great.
@BrenTech Try doing a DISM scan (DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth). If at the end of the scan it says that the Component Store is Repairable or that there are corrupt files, then Restore Health (DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth). After that, restart your PC and then run a SFC Scan and see if the problem is gone or if it persists.
I was Windows™-
fan-supporter… but that was then this is now. I would not have a ill word to say about Microsoft Windows if they would just place the word BETA in/on the adverts. Nothing to complain about – after all, it's a ⒷⒺⓉⒶ ⓋⒺⓇⓈⒾⓄⓃ. That simple Thank you for the video. Cheers from So.Ca.USA 3rd house on the left.Have you tested out DISM /online /cleanup-Image /ScanHealth or DISM /online /cleanup-image /checkHealth ??
Previous Windows Installation files should get deleted automatically after 10 days, so after 10 days you can't go back to 23H2 but you get your space back
Found this to be true in the release preview channel on the insider build. Cmd command line sfc scannow had that issue
"A computer is like air conditioning – it becomes useless when you open Windows.” – Linus Torvalds
Exact same issues here. Repeated corrupt files found from sfc /scannow, and 8.63gb of undeletable windows update cleanup files. multiple installs, via assistant, via clean iso from MS, via latest build from uupdump, all the same.
Yeah 24h2 is just awful to be honest i did a clean install on it and it was choppy/delay on software open ups and scrolling on the web…is just a mess my side
Did install 23h2 back and to be honest i did miss it for those 3hr of not using it 🙂
sfc /scannow needs a windows restart in order to fix those corrupted files even windows 10 works the same way…weird it does not fix them on your side well its 24h2 after all
