This Trick Makes Very Deep Moon Mining Easier, Space Engineers

A short video on how to do a very deep mining on any moon without having to use any piston on Space Engineers which can be a good way to cheaply and conveniently mine for bulk ores without using any ship or expensive equipment at all

  1. love it : to be able to make it deeper you would need to make a gravity relais every 200-300m. just one battery with a gravity generator embedded in the tunnel to push the ore the rest of the way

  2. You should also use a Spherical Gravity generator so it all pulls it to the center instead of just up, though it will make a hazard zone. but that could be solved by a short range antenna or just limiting the range

  3. ;3 Tun-tun get at a mining rig in two parts with two docks set to max distance and magnet strength. this way you can haul the anchor and the rig together docked to your mining ship/ then use only sensors and a overrides gyro to spin the rig and extend and retract the drill as it spins on its unlocked docks. Hover above with a gravity miner and set a second dock on the drill to throw out. It's the best way to automine, set up set an hour and a half timer come back move the rig. listen to podcasts.

  4. I've always liked inventions that uses as little PCU as possible but do the same task, and this is one of them, it's just a matter of tweaking and making it more efficient, like maybe putting gyros on override to keep it steady?

  5. To dig a 300 m deep hole with pistons you'd need 30 of them since each piston has a 10 m extension length. Also this is just an extreme conclusion of my gravity collector suggestion from last time.
This is probably even better than massive stone excavation rigs due to how simple and non clangy it is
It does only work on moons tho
