  1. Rudolph stole that design from his brother Mike who also played in the scorpions . Take a history dive and you will see who was playing that style first . Mike got the boot from the band and his brother try’s to be like him after . Very strange dude .🤷🏻‍♂️ heard the story from interviews mike has done more recently . Wonder why godson would even make one for Rudolph but that’s on them . Looks cool tho not gonna lie .

  2. what i Would like to see is a reissue custom shop of the green faded Sonic blue flying V of Lenny Kravitz. The one used live and in the are u gonna go my way video. The Flying V that made me love this guitar.

  3. I have one of these. The black side of the pickguard isn't red, it came as black but fades out over time to like a brownish red color and that's just how it looks after 10 or so years. Mine did the same thing. It is kind of irritating that Gibson couldn't get the color right. I didn't know there were only 400 of these made, that's awesome and makes mine more valuable.

  4. Hey Trogly, I bought a Schenker Flying V new back in 2013. The pickguard was black/white but the black faded to a reddish brown color. There is no black/white or reddish brown/white option. The pickguard has faded!

  5. Drives me nuts when people say "Gibson USA". LOL As if Gibson USA and Gibson Custom were 2 different companies or brands or something. Or that "Gibson Custom" implies something of a higher quality. They're all Gibsons, whether a regular production model or, a custom run. There is no such thing as Gibson USA as a branding. Never has been. And there's always been a custom shop, just not always at a different address. And if a model like this was made in limited number with unique specs, guess what? That's a custom run, not a regular production model. Regardless of which address Gibson made them at. And it doesn't matter if it was made in Nashville, Kalamazoo, Memphis, etc… Still all Gibsons.

  6. It’s a nice guitar. I remember when Obama’s 3 letter agency raided the Gibson factory (swat style) and took all the rosewood. Anyway, I like your idea of a Murphy Lab Custom Shop model and bet it’ll come soon.

  7. The truss rod cover should have been half and half as well, but reversed. The black half of the cover should go on the white side, and vice versa. Then put the Gibson logo right down the middle.

  8. Hey Trogly the guitar is cool but, that pick guard is horrid. I wish they would go with square inlaid instead of dots. I own 5 or 6 v's all different ages even one with 3 pickups pretty tight fit but sounds awesome. I'm sick and I know it but i cant stop collecting what I like. The other thing is I wish the would put the Gibson logo on the guitar instead of it being on the truss rod cover. Just saying I know there pretty tight on the head stock. My wife likes that I have a hobby but she says I'm out of control says I should sell some of them but when you have the fever you know how it is I'm in love with all of them.

  9. I had an all cream colored 1981 Flying V with that volute, the rounded headstock, chrome covers over the pickups, and it looked a lot like that one. The bone nut was poorly cut when I got it new.

  10. Anyone think what Trogley opened with sounds like the Sasquatch song? Many think that thein Scorpions are a band from the 80s. But Rudolph Schenker formed the band in 1965. Their longest existing line up was from 1978 to 1992.
