MAN Why does Blizzard have to complicate everything…

This is probably a very dumb question that is likely explained with "blizzard forgot to change the tooltip or forgot about it" but why does the Camouflaged Nodes mention that engineers can see them or make something to see them, when it appears only alchemist can make something to see them with. Engineer and Alchemist is named by name in their information on the ores after mining one.
Or maybe I am just not able to find the thing that allows engineers to do it for whatever reason(maybe missed it when looking over everything for it).
Can't find it anywhere but how do you learn to refine ore?

What are the pick axes i heard about? Do we need to get them in order to mine? Do we keep it in our bags or we need to equip it instead of our weapon?
I hit 80 and 100 mining yesterday. I think this is the first expansion were a mining node can kill you — I got knocked off a ledge to my death from an EZ-Mine in Hallowfall 🙂
