  1. I've owned my 09 Evora for 9 years now and have never thought the steering wheel was too far away, maybe I've got short legs 😂.
I've done 32k of the 65k miles, car has been flawless, it's on its original clutch and the short ratio box is also original. I'd agree a lot of the reported issues are down to driving style or bad luck.
Bought it expecting I'd have it for a few years but everytime I drive it I can't think of anything I'd rather own apart from a Evora 410.
Only modification I've done so far is 2ubular valved exhaust which transforms the early car to sound as good as it looks and drives.

  2. Hi James – decent review as ever but I do have some queries I’d love to hear your views on. I test drove last model Evora’s and have also checked out a couple of V6 Emiras. They both have the same horrible gearbox (sorry, but it really does suck) but otherwise wonderful driving dynamics which isn’t exactly surprising given essentially the same underpinnings. That being said, the build quality and interior design of the Emira is light years ahead of the Evora and is clearly the better car. BUT, if you look at comparable low mileage late Evoras (400/410) they are costing £60k+ , essentially the same or even more than Emiras which can be had for £60k and even less with lower mileage. What gives ??? Any thoughts on this?

  3. I'm so happy to see so much appreciation for this magnificent car. I own an Evora 400 and its delightful, no issues for me. This car is always unique and totally special. If you see an Evora, don't think twice.

  4. Yes, the Evora is that good! I owned a S a long time ago and recall the chassis, ride and handling to be sublime. I went from a 997 to Evora S and driving the Evora always felt special where as the Porsche felt ordinary and rather dull. Great review and video and hopefully see you at a bears event at some point.

  5. Hey James, buying my 400 was also thanks to many reviews and videos on your channel. So first of all, thank you for that.
Then, well i recently sold the 400 i had for over 4 years, not because it wasn't good, nope i had the same issue as you described with the seats and it was a bit too loudly agressive for me.
The 400 wasn't my gateway to supercars, no, it was my gateway to get another Evora. 😉 Some might be supersized, that i am extremely happy with my naturally aspirated Evora because it could be seen as a 120hp downgrade. I'm not missing the supercharger and believe me or not, i think that the Evora is brilliant in any engine configuration!

  6. I am very tempted to get rid of my S2 Elise 111S for an Evora S. I need to test drive one. I'm not sure if the standard Evora N/A would be enough of a jump. Anything to add? 🤔

  7. Always nice to have a wild fling with a stunning, high revving and loud ex-girlfriend…even if you have two stylish Italian wives waiting for you on the driveway back home… 😁😁

  8. Hi James thanks for another great video as usual!! I was inspired by your love for Evora and bought a Evora S IPS MY 13. Drive amazingly yet it kept falling into limp mode. After one year of struggling I decided to order a brand new engine wiring harness and see my luck. Have been waiting it to be shipped for 2 months though…
