  1. For me, the problem isn't necessarily that the character is black. It's based on an actual person from Mozambique as mentioned in the video.

The problem is that they made the character African American, with rap music playing while you kill Japanese people.

But of course to the majority of Americans there's no difference. It's such an insult to the legacy of Yasuke.

  2. UBISOFT if you want ti highlight black ppl why not make a game taking place in africa they also have alot of famous historical figures you can use for your game and indresting timelines tio explore while also making sence to see black ppl and also white ppl who used to trade with them

  3. Yes, It is INPSIRED BY / based off of historical figure
BUT ubislop claims their game is historically accurate.

It is hated because of the:
    – blatant disrespect of Japanese history/culture
    – intentional exploitation of sacred religious icons and figures
    – false advertisement of time-inaccurate designs of tools, clothing and architecture
    – and non-existent permission to use real life clan emblems.

And don't forget about the abnormally mediocre graphics, gameplay (combat and character interaction) and environment setting.

We do not talk about woke-ism and DEI infected content. 😅

And all that is involved in this project are white french people.

  4. hi yasuke was not a samurai, its like saying that some person who came to scotland could just walk around and say he is a McDonald or a Cameron, and he is in the game having random peasants bow to him while walking around in armor that is for a lord. its absurd like a common squire in england or france walking around in the armor of the king (yasuke's armor has the emblem of a noble house on it) wearing the kings coat of arms and the random peasants all bow and call the squire "my lord" and kneel to him. its beyond insulting why are they making a game where the japanese bow to a black man with weapons wandering through their village killing people? they aren't americans only we bow to black men who burn down our cities.

  5. If anything instead of the female character they could of made peoppe xhoose between yasuke and another famous hapanese samurai so in that way everybody would be happy we would have the main japanese guy and se would also have rhe exotic yasuke that would of been interrsting

  6. Game over Ubisoft. Not going to pay for a game to run around as an African samurai slashing up local Japanese people. All the other AC installments have a native protagonist to that region, but when it comes to an asian installment, this is what you do. So much disrespect for Japanese and asian culture, boycotting you for good.

  7. I have seen people try using William from Nioh especially Yasuke appearance in the game as an excuse for Yasuke being a Samurai.First off, William was a real Englishman who indeed became a Samurai.

While Yasuke is a Samurai in the 2 Nioh games, Nioh is historically fictional. He is a Samurai there because it’s a fantasised version of Japan.

  8. Ever think you lot got a slap in the face because ya torched their new direction for the industry? RPG, Open World, Dialogue, these took years to improve. Enjoy your gay, Black, Samurai, syke! Not a samurai! Historically, whooping non historic az character you woke lot. You can't ask for a diamond ring and pay by spit shining them all. We're all having fun.

  9. 6:40 Wtf do you mean you're not making a Japanese person the title character? Isn't Naoe the playable female ninja Japanese you dum6 Btc🤬 and just because you got a young Uncle Ruckus that agrees with you on social media doesn't mean there is evidence that Yasuke wasn't a Samurai 😂

  10. Why does this matter? There is magic in assassins creed… is that a problem? Since when was history ever completely accurate. Who cares. It’s not empowering to have a black man in a game, it’s not bad to have a black man in a game. Let people enjoy a game. Omg 😱… It doesn’t matter.

  11. I rly don't understand why it's so bad that the main character is black, when in history this character actually exists and I think this is very interesting. Aside from that there is actually a female japanese character das is also playable, is it a problem she is female and not male or something?

  12. You heard it first here… Hollywood is working on a new project… "The Very Last Samurai"… it re-tells the story of the original movie "The Last Samurai" starring Tom Cruise and in the role of Lord Katsumoto, we will have Morgan Freeman and his infinite wisdom… "The Very Last Samurai" will be a cultural lesson to Japanese people to teach them that "one you go black you can't go back"… "The Very Last Samurai"… coming July 4th 2025… cause God bless black America… and no whites included…

P.S. We are not racist… you're racist if you don't come see our movie…

  13. As a long time player of AC, my complaints started when Asian styled hip hop music started playing during the fight scenes 😂😂 all in all im so disappointed in Ubisoft. They’ve always been so consistent about trying to recreate a historically accurate based game (aside from character backstories, etc.) and they ruined it with this game. I’m Japanese and was so excited to hear about a samurai game finally coming to AC! Instead, we get a game focused on a black dude claiming to be a real life historical samurai, rather than an ACTUAL JAPANESE samurai!

  14. I have so many issues with this game and how ubi is disrespecting Japanese history and culture an the way that have responded to feed back. I love Japanese history and culture, and I just love Asian history and culture all together. I've read the Bubishi and a bunch of other books rooted from Japanese/Asian culture, I've studied different forms of martial arts like Isshin-Ryū witch is largely a synthesis of Shorin-ryū, Gojū-ryū, and kobudō. but even with the love I have for the Japanese history and culture, I feel as if I can't speak on it because of the fact that I'm a straight white male and to so many people that just means all my dislike must come from a place of racism and hatred. like no that's not where it comes from at all, it's the exact opposite all my dislike comes from the love I have for it and the passion that I have. I have always wanted an AC game like this, but I want it done the right way, the way that honors such a rich and beautiful culture, I'm so happy that the Japanese community and Japanese content creators have been standing up and showing their dislike, WE DESERVE BETTER AS FANS AN THE JAPANESE COMMUNITY DESERVES BETTER
