  1. he's a mental outlaaaaw, maaan 🥷…
    this is what happens when you're 0% creative. you start navel-gazing about governments getting into your data & dump time into navigating a minefield of hopelessly flawed software. enjoy your timesink, bum! 🫡

  2. really thank for last one. I did hear about tldr and similar things, but not about offline tty wiki. Would save me from need of firing up laptop while arch install to open wiki.

  3. yeah i learned and used linux since 99, guess whats my job is? i'm working in construction laying bricks all day. If you really wanna waste your time learn linux and become a youtuber to tell other people to learn linux because it's only way to make money on linux.

  4. ALWAYS understand the cmd and interpret. I work with devs that would delete their filesystem cause of blind copy/paste. Does the below cmd work and what is its objective?
    FILEN="~/.b?shrc"; sed -n '10p' ${FILEN} >> ${FILEN}.log

  5. Honestly what pushed me away from using Linux is Adobe Photoshop and Office package, i know there's alternatives and even run through VM but it will interrupt with my workflow drastically.

  6. I just installed arch the manual way, and that helped me visualize some parts of the backend of operating systems. The most coding I’ve ever done was in Rstudio for statistical analysis. So that was wild. I even messed up a few times, however, I pushed through. I’m running plasma lol wish me luck.

    Honest question

    regarding the automated installer (which didn’t work for me): from what I recall, it said something about not being able to find my chroot, or that path didn’t exit. If I do a clean install of arch again, how would I remedy that? I’d like to see if the automatic installer will offer me more packages to download for system stability. I hope I said all that correctly.

  7. Achieving Linux OS primacy is simple. Make it EASY to use. The Terminal should, and needs to be there, but like Windows, OS should run fast and reliably in the background. The simplicity of point and click is the sole reason home computers exist –

  8. Manjaro developers have so serious issues, it's best to avoid. EndeavourOS is a better, light Arch-based alternative for the adventurous and Garuda is better for those who fancy a fancy-looking, but heavier alternative.

  9. Never understood the arch install flex. Like this isn’t the 90s anymore you can get the instructions online and if you can read you can install it. It’s not rocket science. In fact I still use a modified set of the instructions when I do an install. I just wrote down the things from the wiki that I use.

  10. I can’t help it, but when anybody says “EK cetera,” I instantly leave the video. I know it’s not fair because you could learn something, but as I started to say, I can’t help it.
