Tesla FSD is Smoother than Waymo π€π w/ Omar Whole Mars & Aidan (FSD v12.5.6.3)
I met up with Omar from Whole Mars Blog in Los Angeles to compare the latest version of Tesla’s FSD (12.5.6.3) versus Waymo.

Is it necessary to turn camera to show Omar's face instead of looking out the window to see how the car does? We know Omar is good looking but is he a Brad Pitt?
Omar Whole Mars – I finally get it! It was fun for me to captain a Model X with FSD in LA a few months ago. Not as brave as Omar though!
Omar is a LEGEND. So much brain power and insights in this video!
Wait, did FSD run that red light @ :48 into the video?
Fsd in LA regularly farts daily for me. Have Omar go onto 405S and see if his fsd rushes to exit brookhurst every time car passes by even on way to San Diego. There are random glitches just go off beaten path.
Tesla automates labor to oblivion. Labor substituted. Demand drops. Deflation descends. Plutocrats locust onto next rentier gig. Hyper clueless
FSD is the real deal. Thanks for sharing the video Gali!
It really makes sense to have the bots Teleoperated First, so they can train the bots, just like they do with FSD
So the OG of whatever warehouse or handyMan will train the robot for some time, and than the robot knows what to do based on previous experience.
They actually have showcased the teleoperation for an year almost.
I had to stop watching when you said, 'Waymo will not even get on the highway.' Come on! Thatβs like saying an Olympic swimmer canβt handle a lap in the pool. Waymo is not only on the highway in Los Angeles, but theyβve also been given the green light to do it without a human driver. For example, theyβre cruising on the 10 freeway from Santa Monica to Downtown LA. Next time, letβs fact-check before hitting the autopilot on sweeping claims!
Great post! I have a quick question regarding SFD-enabled cars and how they handle driveways. Hereβs what I mean: for example, if youβre coming home from the grocery store and set your home as the destination, the car drives to your address but typically stops either in the middle of the road or parks on the side near the home address. It doesnβt turn into the driveway.
What needs to be done to make the car turn into the driveway? Ideally, it would also trigger the garage door to open and proceed all the way into the garage.π₯Έ
Iβm trying to order a MY by combing the uber rewards and the referral program. I donβt know if itβs possible. Each reward program opens its own webpage so I donβt know how to combine them. Any suggestions?
Tesla is definitely upgrading those HW 3 vehicles to HW 4, that's my guess.
I hope my Tesla investment isn't dependent on the relationship between Trump and Musk, because the stability of that is probably the inverse of the stability of FSD
30 in a 25, not too fast……?
If Waymos run 24/7 that's an average ride time of about 45 mins
That's every Waymo doing 30 rides a day
Tesla is severely behind in technology. Bad decision to ditch lidar
First time seeing Omar
36:02 I think it might have been the combination of sun glare on front cam and narrow road.

TSLA to 1000 πππ
At 36:07 the only disengagement was due to camera being blinded by light (Autopilot aborted for camera visibility). I hope they can solve this problem. Seems to happen frequently for end users. Iβve not seen the red hands system error for a while in any videos, so hopefully that generic issue is solved.
Have a look at latest Post by Freda Duan on the state of Robotaxis field. She claimed that Waymo was profitable. Anyway, some food for thought with her post and how the market will be very competitive when Tesla does finally launch its network.

Just drove Pennsylvania to west Texas using FSD almost the whole way and it was fantastic.
0:48 ran a red light!
I have FSD and I love it, but there is one situation I have that I'm not sure it can handle, unless I can provide input during the drive (especially if I'm in a CyberCab). I live in a gated community. There are two entrances into the community that are side by side. On the right side is an automatic gate that lifts up. A CyberCab should be able to handle that with ease. On the left side is a kiosk with a guard. The guard will let you in if you are allowed to be in the community. 99% of the time, I go through the right gate, but every once in a while, I need to go through the guarded gate and talk to the guard. I need to communicate during the drive to not only go to the guard gate, but to stop at the kiosk and allow me to talk to the guard, and also know when it can proceed into the community, or even turn around if the guard does not let me through. There needs to be some sort of mechanism for the human to control the CyberCab in a situation like this.
0:46 not even one minute in and it runs a red light!
My dad uses fsd all the time. And I am slowly getting used to fsd myself I'm not as scared π±πto use it anymore I need to use it all the time though.
FSD has rerouted several times. I thought was error but it was correct-traffic jam, better routes.
12.5.6.3 is great but there's still edge cases. Freeway coming to halt-fsd brakes hard but rear traffic closing in. Better to disengage and pace traffic down slowly to avoid being rear ended. Happened to me.
