Lake Mariner is located at the expansive site of a now-retired coal power plant in Western New York, where roughly 91% of market energy comes from zero-carbon resources. Once complete, the facility will reach over 500 MW of demand. This innovative project leverages existing power infrastructure to provide a new, high-tech future for this industrial site and will continue to retrain and employ workers who were displaced by New York’s transition away from fossil fuels.
