neither, go find a used pc that's got an 8000+ series or later intel or 2000+ series amd cpu that uses ddr4, max out the ram (64 or 128gb), and then fill the case with 8x 18tb hard drives and drop in a used intel x520-da2 and use the ssd that's originally in the pc and install truenas scale (super easy to set up), create a raidz2 pool out of the hard drives, and there's a decent relatively low power 10g storage server for less than the price of either of these nas' that EASILY outperform it, in terms of both storage and in terms of vm's / apps, etc. with more storage. it'll also be way less expensive. (~$500-800) – used hardware is best for a nas (which doesn't require much in the way of cpu power (just don't go too old because older cpus aren't as power efficient)
