Sub-Interfaces and Secondary IP addresses

Well, we’ve used these quite a few times in our topology builds but it is time to provide a little more detail about sub-interfaces and why we use them. In addition, we will look at a close cousin called the secondary IP address. Both provide two or more IP addresses on a single physical interface but unlike the secondary IP address, sub-interfaces use a trunk and VLAN tags.

This video also includes a short Packet Tracer demo on the sub-interfaces.
