  1. I’ve come to understand the deeper story behind this situation. These are ordinary South Africans, navigating harsh socio-economic conditions with no other means to make ends meet. Instead of rushing to judgment, we must recognize that this is the reality of South Africa—a country still struggling under the weight of immense inequality and systemic challenges.

These men are doing their best to survive and prevent poverty amidst unbearable pressure. It pains me to admit that I didn’t see this sooner, instead labeling them as 'criminals.' This is a stark reminder for us all to approach such situations with greater understanding, compassion, and humility. Simply passing the issue to the defense or police ministry as a quick fix is a desperate and shortsighted approach. We need to address the root causes to create lasting change.

    Disgraceful governance as always.

  3. What happens when these criminals get out? Especially foreign nationals, are they going to be deported or will they be housed by our jails and benefit from our tax monies after exploiting our resources? Will deportation guarantee prison time in their countries? Because they definitely will come back illegally to our country.
