South Africa’s illegal mining standoff: Families say 4,000 workers are trapped underground



Police in South Africa say they won’t help a group of illegal miners trapped underground in North West province.
Authorities in Stilfontein closed the mine’s entrance as part of a campaign against the illegal practice.
It’s left those inside without food, water, and other basics.
