South Africa’s illegal mining standoff: Families say 4,000 workers are trapped underground

Authorities in Stilfontein closed the mine’s entrance as part of a campaign against the illegal practice.
It’s left those inside without food, water, and other basics.

  1. The problem also is, the officials are not allowing VOLUNTEERS to enter & try to reach those deep in the mine with rope or rail carts. Their excuses sound like BS to me especially if mine has been functioning for several months.

  2. Though the government never created the diamonds, they think they own them because of the profits involved have not come to them. I wonder how many jew interests are involved still.

  3. Providing food for criminals? They make it sounds like they are down there because they are working for the government ,why should people risk their lives going under to save criminals?Their families can go down to give them food and water then,we can not call what's happening a genocide and compare it to the Palestine situation, that is madness,I support my government on this one.
