origin servers aka lone wolf (etc) will not be deleted but will not be available for any NEW players wanting to create characters on that server.

they are adding two new mega servers one for PvP one for PvE how are you not understanding that
it annoys me so many wow players have this shit rot for brains where they cant fucking read a blue post correctly then get mad at their inability to understand
I feel like trade good prices will definitely go down, consumes, etc and people will need to find farms that just give consistent gold like doing your BRE daily, or instance vender farms, etc. Mainly for the gold sinks like epic mount, crafted items and for the moment FR enchants if doing past heat 1 MC.
Juat on a different topic, Maybe they can also just throw in drawf shamans and tauren paladins at some point too. Maybe the constant forum posts about faction balances will die out and bring some new energy to the game. π

If I got to choose the next Classic season for a "closer to 2019 than not" experience, I would do a No Addon season. The devs decide on the specific addons that make the game usable, perhaps borrowing from retail, and then no additional software allowed.
The consume prices look like they must be depressing to crafters, until you experience the multi-procs on creation, and the multi-procs in gathering. The fact that you make a slim 5s margin on your potion is no big deal when you can gin up 40 in 15 minutes of gather/process start to finish. I'm deep in the professions and I LOVE what they have done for the SoD economy, including the packs you fill with trade goods.
Now if they would just take away the bullying from bots around limited stock npc items and it would be perfection.
At the very least they should keep SoD alive on a megaserver till classic+
I do hope that you cannot go from PvP to PvE megaserver or else some guilds will fall apart!

2:02:00 "hunter is fairly balanced… at the top" is such a god damn hunter thing to say i swear, they are absurdly overpowered and are in immediate need of a nerf and the fact that its so long overdue is gonna cause so much whine when the nerfbat comes around in the next patch.
So just to clarify, Era servers dont have sharding. They just merged the servers together. So you have have 2 haracters with the same name because one is on whitemane and the other is on bigglesworth but you can still see both characters all the time. The only time you could maybe not see them is if another layer spun up, but that wouldnt split the two realms, it would split players regardless of which of the two realms their on becayse they are on the same server cluster. They are the same server for all intensive purposes
This will be amazing, i play on a populated server Living Flame EU and its not that hard to find groups, but I can imagine how it is for others on servers with smaller population. This should change all of that, I just hope they fix layering a bit and increase the size of player that can be on a layer. I play Prot Paladin from day 1 in SoD, having a lot of fun with these extra skills, mostly taunt, its game changer for Paladin Tank.

Thank you for correcting yourself on the merged servers. Iβm a late night u.s. server player and I miss playing with my Australian friends like I used to do in retail vanilla -> retail wrath. The caps were lower in the old days, as you also noticed, but the servers were also busy 24×7 because as the us players went to bed the Australians woke up, and when the Australians went to bed, the Europeans started logging in.
Blazinbob is so hard to listen to half the time, and it's not just because of the speech impediment. The guy constantly interrupts to ramble on about nothing.
