Can I mining cpu
I couldn't find any info about running salad on virtual machines? Any one have info on that? I setup a server with 2 xeon processors E5-2699 v4; 1x 4060ti 16gb; 1x RTX Titan 24gb; and 32gb ram per VM. I just finished setting it up 24hours ago. Haven't gotten a job yet…..
Anyone have experience installing salad on a virtualized Windows machine?
I still have yet to get Any since you started covering this… unless i turn on crypto

Is my gpu supposed to be a 100% load even if salad earnings are zero?

That's just the way it goes with renting, mining and so forth… I remember when CPU mining was really profitable and then there was Xelis for GPU, Clore, Flux, Gram and so forth the coins that came before that. Point is that they were really profitable for a few months and then really tanked hard and has not recovered since. Same thing will happen to Salad, but there will be another ai mining.

Weekends are always the worst. I think once we pass the sideways summer and crypto booms, more GPUโs will go back to blockchain.
I had a $5 a day job that ran for about 3 days until my hard drive filled up. Salad was taking up 320gb on the drive

did some test on idle pc with ryzen 9 and 4070, still around 60 watts on idle, and around 300 watts maximum on big load jobs.
Work loads and earnings stink since 1.6.2. … Name the other platforms, open to the public or not let us do our own research evaluations.. Pumping Hype is pointless.
Earnings on 1.6.2 has been fantastic. Profits have almost doubled.
Since latest version no jobs and when finding jobs they last 30min

They use your computer power to earn crypto.. and pay you a VERY SMALL percentage of it…..
The fact that the source code files also have T-rex and XMRig miners built into it…. Just confirms that…

Salad 1.6.2 – 24+ hours since update, zero worklods. ๐ฎ
Avg about $8 per day here in the UK split across 9 rigs. 1×3090, 1x3070ti, 6×3060 12g and 1x3060ti. Not many container jobs. I think a lot of it is bw sharing.

I have four systems on salad.. two 3060ti's 8gb and two 3060 12gb all earning about $2.00 a day each since the 1.6.2 update. The systems are identical having Ryzen 3700's with 32gb of RAM although one of the TI's has 64gb of RAM. I will be upgrading them all to 64gb as soon as/if jobs dry up. I don't think as of now there are significant gains by having 64gb of RAM but it couldn't hurt ๐
Most likely, this will be a thing in the past with old hardware. Most, if not all, can already afford a gpu or 2 that can do all this in home with not even having to pay someone. You can get 4x titan RTX for the price of a 4090.
I have had 2 of those long time jobs now. 1 before the update 1 other after.
the1.6.2 was the worst update. Immediately my earnings dropped from about $6 to about $1. Workloads are now very short and my 3 rigs spend hours doing NOTHING.A disgrace lol
