This video will demonstrate how AIX works on an x86_64 computer through QEMU virtualization. Thanks to QEMU team.
In this case, the QEMU version is 8.2.6.
As you can see in the video, a couple of commands have been working well without the need for fixing, such as ps, crontab and cron.
I also tried QEMU 9.x for this case, but I can’t get it work, I don’t know why.
Of course, you can also run QEMU without another virtual option like Virtualbox or VMware. In my case, single-level virtualization did not improve the AIX performance. Therefore, I ended up with two levels of virtualization, one is QEMU and the other is Virtualbox.
