It should be absolutely ILLEGAL for NY to not allow other states to get a non resident pistol permit card. The only way they allow it is if you have a business in their state. I find that to be completely unconstitutional since I live 30 mins away from upstate NY.
I'm not giving in to the serious dirty games tha the government is playing. I feel that I can carry anywhere that I don't feel that I will be pat down. I feel that one day my love my rundown but I feel that I shouldn't give in to this complexity. I feel if we give in that's how we lose little by little. I feel that sometimes we should compromise in order to win but not right now.
Any non resident permits that South Carolina excepts? Also from what I can see if you live in North Carolina, Michigan, North Dakota or Kansas you are blessed with the best reciprocity a US civilian can obtain. Alaska, West Virginia, Ohio and Idaho seem pretty good too
Had this discussion with your telemarketer. You need to make a straight up search to list the states that have non residence licenses. It is a pita to go through each state.
Show me the part of the constitution that’s gives a state authority over any of the bill of rights…… especially the ability to regulate or infringe ….: it’s not there
States shouldn't be allowed to have the rights they have. Carry permits should be federal, and it shouldn't matter what state you buy a car in, or a gun. We need to petition the government, march on Washington, and state capitals.

Question is does a NON RESIDENT license give the possessor the same reciprocal rights as a RESIDENT license? I have heard the reciprocity only applies to the residence of that state, the non resident allows them to carry just in that state. Is this the fact?

You cannot expect any state to honor the Cali CCW permit when Cali does not recognize any other state CCW permit. Then too, in Cali, the permit is almost worthless unless you are out in the woods and hunting/camping/hiking far away from people.

Thanks Tom. My state license instructor uses USCCA training and a NRA shooting program. Don't forget states offer different veterans programs also.
