Race to rescue trapped illegal miners



Stilfontein residents in the North West claim that over 4 000 suspected illegal miners are still underground. The community is calling for urgent intervention, saying some are in bad health down there. Community leader Thembile Botman elaborates.

  1. Now why is that if illegal mining going on for so long this mines is not operational to south africans and how many millions is lost for south africa. Some heads in goverment must roll because it is out of control. So many jobsfor south african MR Ramaposa and all members in goverment need to be jail period.

  3. How do you rescue people who never needed rescue.
    Police knows they have no capacity to carry out an operation, instead they went ahead anyway now we have dead bodies.
    Police you stop food and supplies to starve people therefore take responsibility you kill people.
    Is this the solution.
